Design for Liquid Soap Bottle & Refill
EasyPop® package is 10%-11% lighter weight
The Branded Liquid Soap package has various plastic and metal materials for the bottle and pump assembly. Controlled dispensing of the soap requires the pump.
Package weight w/ 300ml soap: 341,3 grams
The EasyPop Liquid Soap package is made from a 100% recyclable monomaterial film with an air bubble and self-closing valve. Controlled dispensing is by sqeezing the package.
Package weight w/ 300ml soap: 301,3 grams (40 grams lighter weight)
EasyPop is 11% lighter weight when compared to the branded package
The Branded Liquid Soap Refill has a bottle, screw cap, and adhesive labels.

The Branded Liquid Soap package uses a number of different materials which cannot be separated in the standard recycling process.

Recycling for Branded Package:
The PET bottle should not be mixed with PP, PE and other components. For recycling, the bottle must be separated from the cap and pump. Manual dissassembly of materials in the pump is not possible since pieces are too small to be separated.

The EasyPop Liquid Soap package uses a 100% recyclable monomaterial for the which can be easily processed for recycling.

Recycling for EasyPop:
The package is a monomaterial, designed for recycling. It can be easily collected, sorted, and separated from other plastics. Also, the flexible package has a large surface area for efficient sorting and recycle processing.
EasyPop is made from a 100% recyclable monomaterial with a 94% lower cost for packaging materials.
Environmental impacts from its supply chain of materials (i.e. GHG emissions, energy use, water use, transport and carbon footprint) are significantly lower compared to the branded package.
