This year, 21 projects from collaborating SME entrepreneurs will receive a contribution to further research and develop their product. The ultimate goal of the projects is to bring their product to the market. These are contributions from the MIT R&D subsidy scheme.
Projects with the most points in the assessment receive part of the available budget. Projects can receive between 50,000 and 350,000 euros. In total, this involves a budget of almost 4 million euros.
Deputy Helga Witjes: “21 projects, each very different. They have in common that they are projects of SMEs, who collaborate with other entrepreneurs and research or implement new products for this purpose. This concerns innovations that contribute to a healthy, safe, clean and prosperous Gelderland. Such as solutions in the field of energy and sustainability, but also health and care, safety, sufficient food and key technologies. This subsidy encourages SMEs to contribute to this.”
EasyPop
Everybody knows it: plastic packaging is difficult to open . In the EasyPop project an innovative , reusable and resealable closing concept for small plastic packaging sachets is being developed . The concept makes use of one bubble combined with one self-closing valve . The resealable packaging is easier to use and reduces the risk of litter ( e.g. loose tear strips ). In addition it also delivers advantages in production : less packaging material , a reduced water and energy usage and fewer emissions for the environment , such as CO2 and particulate matter.
